Overview

The blue-and-white fishing town on the Atlantic, with its ramparts, port and relaxed medina.

Essaouira is the perfect contrast to Marrakech: a fresh Atlantic breeze, a UNESCO-listed medina painted blue and white, and a lively fishing port full of blue boats. It is one of the most relaxing places in Morocco.

On the way you stop at a women's argan oil cooperative and see the famous goats climbing argan trees. In Essaouira you have plenty of free time to walk the ramparts of the Skala, explore the art galleries and enjoy fresh fish at the port.
