Itinerary
Pick-up at Marrakech or Casablanca airport heading straight to your hotel in Marrakech. Upon arrival, you'll receive a warm welcome with mint tea and an overview of the tour itinerary and city map. Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the afternoon exploring the city's winding streets and vibrant souks on a self-guided walk. Enjoy an overnight stay at your hotel.
The tour begins at 9 a.m. from your hotel. First, we'll visit Badii Palace and Bahia Palace, with a stop to explore the spice souks in Mellah. Next, we head to the Marrakech Museum and Madrasa Ben Youssef, a stunning example of Moroccan architecture. Afterward, we cross the souks to Djemaa El Fna, the vibrant heart of Marrakech, where you can enjoy lunch while overlooking the main square. Post-lunch, we'll explore the area around the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque. Then, we drive to the Majorelle Gardens, created by French painter Jacques Majorelle in 1924 and later restored by French fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent. This botanical sanctuary is famous for its striking cobalt blue accents. We'll also visit the Menara Gardens, a perfect spot to watch the sunset in Marrakech. We return to the hotel around 5 p.m., and you will have a free evening to relax. Overnight stay at your hotel with breakfast included.
After breakfast, we depart from Marrakech at 8 a.m., driving 200 km through the High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate. We'll make short stops along the way to enjoy the stunning landscapes and take photos. Our first major stop is Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a 16th-century fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for films like 'Gladiator', 'Lawrence of Arabia', and 'Kingdom of Heaven.' We'll have lunch at Aït Benhaddou Kasbah or in Ouarzazate, the cinema capital of Africa. After lunch, we continue driving 160 km through the Rose Valley and the Road of the Kasbahs, arriving in Dades Gorges around 5 p.m. Overnight stay at your hotel in Dades Gorges, with breakfast included.
After breakfast, we drive to Todra Valley to visit the spectacular Todra Gorges, where limestone canyons rise over 500 feet. We then continue to the charming oasis town of Erfoud for lunch. Afterward, we drive to Merzouga, the gateway to Morocco’s Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, we stop at a hotel by the dunes for refreshments. Two hours before sunset, we embark on a camel trek into the dunes, taking in the mesmerizing desert landscapes. Arriving at our camp around 6 p.m., we enjoy traditional mint tea with the nomads and travel over the sands to watch the stunning sunset. Back at the camp, we have dinner, followed by music around the fire played by the nomads. We retire for the night in tents under the stars. Overnight camping in Merzouga, with breakfast and dinner included.
We wake up early to watch the stunning sunrise, followed by breakfast and a shower at the camp. Afterward, we ride camels back to the hotel in Merzouga, where our driver awaits to take us to Fes through the Middle Atlas region, a journey filled with beautiful landscapes. We make a brief stop in Er Rachidia to enjoy the lush views of the Ziz Valley palmeraie, followed by lunch in Midelt. Later, we stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture, where you might spot curious monkeys in the cedar forests. We arrive in Fes around 6 p.m. for an overnight stay at your hotel, with breakfast included.
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll enjoy a guided tour of Fes, visiting the Royal Palace Gate, the Jewish Quarter, and the old medina. In the afternoon, we travel to Chefchaouen, stopping for lunch along the way. Known as ‘the blue city,’ Chefchaouen is one of the prettiest towns in Morocco, featuring an artistic blend of Moroccan and Andalusian influences with its red-tiled roofs, bright-blue buildings, and narrow lanes. Overnight stay at your hotel in Chefchaouen, with breakfast included.
After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, and Meknes. Our first stop is the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where we'll explore the 2000-year-old site and glimpse life during the Roman Empire. Next, we visit Moulay Idriss, the holy city of Morocco, cherished by the Moroccan people. We then proceed to Meknes, where we'll enjoy a magnificent view of the medina. In the heart of the medina is Place El Hedim, a large square facing Bab El Mansour, the grandest of all imperial Moroccan gateways. We'll also visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the final resting place of one of Morocco’s greatest rulers. Overnight stay at your hotel in Meknes, with breakfast included.
After breakfast at the hotel in Meknes, we travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, and then to the coastal city of Casablanca. There, we'll visit the Hassan II Mosque and explore some of the city's other attractions, including the old medina and the Corniche of Ain el Diab. We then continue our journey back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening. Overnight stay at your hotel in Marrakech, with breakfast included.
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the airport. Carry the memories of your adventures with you as you embark on your flight back home. Breakfast included.
