Majestic Morocco: A 10-Day Cultural and Desert Adventure

Begin your adventure in Marrakech with a guided tour of the city's most iconic sites. Explore the renowned Jemaa el-Fna square, the historic 800-year-old Koutoubia Mosque, vibrant souks, stunning palaces, and fascinating museums. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, take some time to wander and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Marrakech at your leisure.

Your journey continues as we drive through the majestic Atlas Mountains, navigating the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its appearances in movies like "Gladiator" and the HBO series "Game of Thrones." Next, we visit the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate and a local Kasbah before traveling through the Valley of 1001 Kasbahs, renowned for its annual Rose Festival. The day ends with an overnight stay in the stunning Dades Gorge, where you'll relax at a hotel or Riad

Today, we explore the breathtaking Todra Gorge, a narrow canyon with vibrant colors and towering cliffs. The journey continues through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, a gateway to the Sahara Desert known for its unique fossils. Here, you can visit a local factory that crafts beautiful house decor from fossils, with an opportunity to purchase souvenirs. Afterward, we'll head to Rissani, visit the local souk, and then journey to Merzouga, on the edge of the desert. Prepare for a memorable camel ride into the desert dunes, where you'll spend the night in luxurious en suite tents at the Merzouga Desert Camp. The evening includes a traditional Berber dinner and tribal music around a campfire under a starlit sky.

Start your day with the magical experience of watching the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, visit the nomadic communities around Merzouga, enjoy traditional Gnawa music, and sip tea in the local souks. In the afternoon, embark on a 4X4 trek into the pink sands of the Moroccan Sahara, with free time to explore the vast dunes. As the sun sets, a Moroccan dinner will be served alongside live music around the campfire, followed by a night of stargazing under the stunning desert sky

After breakfast, we'll depart Merzouga, passing through Rissani and Erfoud, and head towards Midelt in the Atlas Mountains. Enjoy lunch in Midelt and take the afternoon to explore the town at your own pace, relax, or unwind at your hotel, where you'll spend the night.

Today, we continue our journey with a visit to Azrou, where you can explore a forest resort and, with some luck, encounter and feed the wild monkeys. The journey then takes us through Ifrane before arriving in Fes, where you'll stay overnight at a local hotel or riad.

Explore the oldest city in Morocco with a guided tour of Fes. Wander through the city's ancient alleys and narrow streets, visit the Royal Palace Gate, and explore the Jewish Quarter. Other cultural and historical highlights include Al-Qarawiyyin University, the Tanneries, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. Spend the afternoon discovering the fascinating medina before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in your pre-booked riad or hotel in Fes.

After breakfast, we drive from Fes to Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, you’ll have plenty of free time to explore Chefchaouen’s charming medina before settling in for the night at your local riad or hotel.

Spend a leisurely morning in the Blue Pearl, Chefchaouen, before driving to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here, you’ll explore the city’s main attractions and have the option to enjoy lunch before continuing to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city, where you’ll spend the night.
